The Best Way To Deal With Recovering Data From A Gateway Desktop PC

GATEWAY DESKTOP:

I have a Gateway desktop, which might be called the ‘WinMe’, or a similar sounding name. The problem is that it has stopped working. I have had it for two years, and it has always been fine, and then suddenly when I came home this week, I found that all of the icons are super-large, massively big in size. I thought that something wasn’t right, and so I ran a screen check. A message appeared which said ‘SUREGcreatekey failed’. I don’t know what that is, and I decided that I had better do a recovery on the drive. I installed the recovery CD into the ROM, but the computer would not respond, and did not read the card. I tried to get the computer to see the CD-Rom, but it seems to have failed to recognise it. I am also losing bits of data from the software, so that I can’t see them on the folders in My Computer. I can’t get the computer to read my USB port, either, and this means that I can’t download files to stop them going missing. I need to recover the data quickly.

GATEWAY DESKTOP:

I have a Gateway desktop, I am not quite sure of the model or make. I have had it for about 9 months, and it was brand new when I bought it. The problem is, that I have found that the computer keeps losing user data from the My Documents folder. I have also lost control of the mouse due to the problems, and I currently have a problem where my keyboard is missing. I can’t do anything to resolve these problems, and I need help recovering the data.
