A stripe is built for speed, not safety. With no parity and no mirror, the array can't reconstruct the missing stripes on its own — which is exactly why professional imaging matters.
A dead controller, bridge or enclosure can take a healthy stripe offline. The disks are fine, but the stripe geometry has to be worked out before the volume can be reassembled.
Recreating the array, or a firmware fault, can lose the block size, disk order and offset that define the stripe. Get these wrong and the data reassembles as garbage — we determine them precisely from the images.

Please remove the internal hard drive or SSD and send us just the drive — we don't provide an internal drive-removal service. We don't recover storage soldered to a motherboard (e.g. Apple Silicon Macs and some thin laptops) — only drives that can be removed and sent to us.
